This is an experiment. I will try to record some of the events - all rather trivial nowadays - in the lives of my dear wife Janet Wendy Last and myself, as our long and happy lives begin to wind down. We are in our 80s now; we have been married over 50 years. We began our married lives in Adelaide, South Australia, having met about 18 months earlier in circumstances I have described publicly, first in a CBC Radio broadcast on our 40th wedding anniversary in 1997, then in a little speech at our 50th wedding anniversary banquet. Maybe I'll insert one of those anecdotes in this blog some time. We have moved about quite a lot in our married lives, though not as much as many immigrant Canadians whose stories we hear from time to time. I will try to insert here a few pictures of us at various stages in our lives. Here on the left is a photo of us at Cochem Castle on the Moselle River in Germany, on our final European holiday in 2007.
